The Michigan State University has invented transparent solar panels in 2014. The solar harvesting system uses small organic molecules to absorb specific wavelengths of sunlight.

Smart highway

This is an interactive and sustainable roads designed by Daan Roosegaarde and Heijmans Infrastructure. The goal is to make roads smarter by using light, energy and information that interact with the traffic situation. 

The lines charge at day-time, and glow at night up to eight hours. The first road has been realised, and will be further launched internationally.

The nano supermarket presents speculative nanotech products that may hit the shelves within the next ten years. It is basically a mobile (bus) museum, with products like medical soup and taste changing wine.

Ice hotel

This PinPin studio's ice hotel in Sweden opend her doors in 1989. It was the first of its kind. They are planning to  add solar power to create a year round experience. To do so they will create a green roof. There goal is to become CO2 negative and produce more energy then is consumed.

HeLion

The infinityPV HeLi-on is the world's most compact solar charger. It has a pocket size and can be rolled out to charge through a USB connection for 2-3 hours. It can both generate and store energy. It starts at a price of $90.

To many places

Emmy Polkamp has designed a pop-up hotel to house guests during festivals or other cultural events. It can productively fill to abandoned structures and consists of a number of tent-like single or double rooms, plus features for a communal living area and kitchen.

Glass as sturdy as steel.

Japanese scientists have created a glass which is as strong as steel.

The substance used in creating the durable glass is alumina, an oxide of aluminum. Mixed with silicon dioxide, it results in a much stronger pane of glass.

Tattoo can be framed after death.

Nowadays you can frame the tattoo of your passed away relative.
