Makoko Floating School

This school in Lagos, Nigeria was build in 2012. It is an all ages school, three stories high and can resident 100 students.

AltSchool in San Francisco, California, is a school that improves technology skills and gets kids thinking flexibly so they can adapt as the world changes.

The office school

The Carpe Diem School, located in Aiken, Ohio look more like an office building than a classroom. Inside the main room, known as The Learning Center, there are 300 cubicles (one for each student). These cubes house a computer that guides the student through his or her education.

Ørestad Gymnasium located in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is one giant classroom, where more than 1,100 high school students take residence.

P-TECH High School

P-TECH was launched in 2011 by IBM that avoideds the usual four-year high-school track.

Instead, P-TECH students complete a six-year degree. The fifth and sixth years earn students an associate's degree from the nearby New York City College of Technology, and many go on to pursue a bachelor's degree afterward.

Steve Jobs School

In Amsterdam, The Netherlands each student begins with an Individual Development Plan (IDP). Based on the outcome of the IDP the child is offered new personal learning challenges and instruction moments to choose from.

All students in the 4th to 12th grade school receive iPads fully loaded with apps to guide individualized learning. The goal is to get kids designing their own education.
