Coolhunting
My definition of Coolhunting is, actively looking for potential signs. In groups of approximately 6 people we filterd trends out of it and created a coolhunting report. We posteds the signs on the website www.signs-seeds.com. This site is lead by Carl Rohde, a well known network trendwatcher. Due to copyright I will only dislay my found signs and seeds.
Mega trend 1: Open World
The open world is a flat world. Due to the internet we have acces to everything. The big companies are no longer in charge, we all are.






Hyperloop
Elon Musk came up with the idea of a super fast transportation tubes, two years ago. People and goods will travel hundreds of miles in a capsules. Due to electricity, magnetism and air pressure it will be able to travel up to 1220 KM an hour.
Musk Build a companie around the idea called \'Hyperloop Transportation Technologies\'. Due to a lack of time, he was forced to sell the companie.
Now two start-ups from L.A. are racing to be the first to pull this off. According to Musk, the first testtube will be build in Texas.
SpaceLiner
This so called SpaceLiner can carry 50 passengers and travel from Londen to Australia in 90 minutes. This space ship will fly at a height of 80 kilometers and its speed will be 13.000 kilometer per hour.
Hololens
HoloLens is essentially a holographic computer built into a headset that lets you see, hear and interact with holograms within an environment such as a living room or an office space. Microsoft has built the headset without the need to be wirelessly connected to a PC, and has used high-definition lenses and spatial sound technology to create that immersive, interactive holographic experience.
Mega trend 2: Togetherness
Due to the existence of the internet, being online brings us closer together. We have the ability to cross borders and that brings us sustainable solutions.
Brainwave EEG
The EEG is a headpiece that interprets your brain activaties. It is created by EMOTIV a bioinformatics company. The headset reads brainwaves and is able to carry out actions based on that. It can measure and track brainactivaties like stress levels, enganement and focus.
Desides measuring performance it can recognize facial expressions. It notices when you wink, blink or slime. This is important for mental commands. The brainwaves are synchronized with the divece. This way it can understand thoughts. With these thoughts you can conrtole objects. For now, these objects are virtual, but they are experimenting with real life objects. You can buy one at the EMOTIV store, strating at a price of $358, 95.
NanoSupermarket
We probably all know of the existence of nanotechnology. But do we really know what we can do with this upcoming technology? The nano supermarket presents speculative nanotech products that may hit the shelves within the next ten years. It is basically a mobile (bus) museum, with products like medical soup and taste changing wine.
It is initiated by the Next Nature Network, a non-profit organisation in Amsterdam. With this bus they want to open up the discussion about nanotech. A lot of people see it as a threat. Others see the possibilities and future potential.

Do you have solar panels on your roof? I know a lot of people that are interested in them, but non who actually have them. The Michigan State University has invented transparent solar panels in 2014. This trend is about the mindset shift of organizations concerning how they deal with customers. Organizations try to involve there customers by: experience, secrecy and gamification.


Mystery dinner
Mystery dinner is a dining experience company founded in 2014. For a price of €50, - you get a culinary experience. Everything is a secret. The location is unknown, the kitchen type is unknown even the entertainment is unknown. The gathering location will be announced 24 hours before the dinner. The actual location could be anything, form medieval castle to a harbour warehouse. This dinner is exclusive to because only 50 guest can enter.
Pokémon Go
Do you remember the cute little face of Pikachu and the powerful flames of Charmander? Do you remember the hype around the Pokémon cards? I know I do! I loved it as a child. For those who do to there is something new to look forward to. That new thing is called Pokémon Go.
It is a new game that combines the real world and virtual world. Via an IOS and Android app players will be able to capture Pokémon, trade them and battle with other players. In addition to your phone there will be a Pokémon Go Plus device. The device connects to the smartphone via Bluetooth and notifies the player about events in the game. For example, if you are approaching a nearby Pokémon.
It is originally founded by a co-worker of Google Earth, as a start-up within Google. It is being developed by Niantic Inc., Nintendo Co and the Pokémon Company.
Mega trend 4: shifting identities
This trend is about emancipation of woman and the feminazation of men. It doesn't stop at men and women. There is a upcomming differentiation in gender.

Prodent white now (men)
At the beginning of this year Prodent lauched toothpaste for men in the Netherlands. It is named Prodent white now deep cool. And it is only for really cool men.
No gender babies
Germany is the first county to check the no gender box on birth certificates. Some children are born without a clear determinable sex. 1 in 1.500 children are born this way. Australia allowed a third gender ‘x’ to be registered on passports in 2011.
